¿Who is Napoleon? ¿Why many people talk about him?

Animal far is one of the most important novel because of the content. This novel is write by George Orwell´s, a wonderful novelist who have the ability to represent trough animals a historical context which happen many years ago.

One day one of the oldest animals called old major has a strange dream for what decide to make a meeting with all the animals in the farm, “One day I had a strange dream on the previous night and wished to communicate it to the other animals. (Orwell, 79)

In the meeting it is mentioned about a rebellion against Mr. Jones. He was the owner of the farm and during many times worked in order to satisfy his necessities.

Once this rebellion was carried out, the animals decided to establish their rules called the seven commandments, having as leader Napoleon and Squaller, two pigs that had extra abilities than the others. This ability was that they knew read and write so depended of them the progress of the farm. However, overtime napoleon wanted to be the only boss, so he accused squaller of an event that occurred because of the nature and comes the help of dogs to realize their objectives.

This is how napoleon becomes the head of everything, so another ideas that animals gave him were not taking into account since he consider that is a waste time. Little by little, the seven commandments disappear leaving only one. With the time Napoleon was becoming a similarity to Mr. Jones because of his attitude. This commandment said: ““all the animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others”.

The rebellion of the farm in one of the clear representatives of the beginning and fall of the Soviet Union where the pigs represent the ruling class with the napoleon leader who come to be Stalin a great soviet dictator, using force tries to lead everyone without taking account other ideas. This is evident when he comes to the help of dogs to threaten any animal that does not want to follow napoleon´s orders.

On the other hand the character of Napoleon was the support on the farm so ¿what did happen if there was not the existence of a leader on the farm? ¿the story would have been the same?

As you know a leader is the head of a group depend of him the progress of a place so have to assume all the consequences in order to talk with the others and propose a good solution that benefit all the group.

That’s why Napoleon is a figure of great importance in the novel because it gives us information about the historical facts. This novel contains a vocabulary that is easy to understand and even more so that it tells us in detail the events that occur also doing an analysis provides extra knowledge so I would like to recommend reading especially to children to increase their skills.
